News: The Pixies, Silversun Pickups, Steely Dan, Motorhead and Nirvana play an encore on the Guitar Hero store.
Activision has revealed the release schedule for the next batch of Guitar Hero: World Tour downloadable songs to be released in April. Fifteen tracks spread across five packs will be added from the artists The Pixies, Silversun Pickups, Steely Dan, Motorhead and Nirvana.
Here's what the schedule will look like for the next five weeks:
April 2 - The Pixies Track Pack
"Debaser"
"Monkey Gone to Heaven"
"The Sad Punk"
April 9 - Silversun Pickups Track Pack
The Silversun Pickups pack will include two songs from the band's upcoming album, Swoon. The album will be released April 14, but Guitar Hero owners can get a sneak preview on April 9. The pack will also include "Well Thought Out Twinkles" from their first album:
"Panic Switch"
"It's Nice to Know You Work Alone"
"Well Thought Out Twinkles"
April 16 - Steely Dan Track Pack
"Black Friday"
"Kid Charlemagne"
"Bodhisattva"
April 23 - Motorhead Track Pack
Motorhead has re-recorded new versions of three of their most popular songs for this track pack. They are:
"Jailbait"
"Love Me Like a Reptile"
"Iron Fist"
April 30 - Nirvana Track Pack 2
"Very Ape"
"Sappy"
"Stay Away"
Each Track Pack will be available on the PlayStation 3 (for $5.49) and the Xbox 360 (for 440 Microsoft Points). Every song from each pack will also be available individually for $1.99 each on the PS3, 160 Microsoft Points each on the Xbox 360 or 200 Wii Points each on the Wii.
