News: The DSi is almost here, here's what you'll be playing from the DSi Shop.
With the release of the Nintendo DSi, the third iteration of Nintendo's dual-screened handheld, just a few days away, Nintendo has detailed the first five titles that will be added to the downloadable DSiWare Shop. They are:
WarioWare: Snapped! Ц Using the built-in Nintendo DSi camera, this outrageous title puts players right at the center of fast-paced mini-games, challenging them to race the clock and get a peek at Wario's photo album.
Bird & Beans Ц Using an elastic tongue, players must scramble to collect falling beans. The harder a bean is to catch, the more points it's worth.
Brain Age Express: Math Ц In this math-focused edition of the popular Brain Age series, players can enjoy a mix of new and familiar training exercises. A new Themes mode also lets Nintendo DSi users experiment with images and voice recordings in fun, unusual ways.
Master of Illusion Express: Funny Face Ц This game uses your Nintendo DSi as a prop in a card trick. Draw a face on the touch screen and astound your audience as the face tells them which playing card they picked.
Art Style: Aquia Ц The newest addition to the eye-popping Art Style series, this mesmerizing underwater puzzle game challenges players to help a scuba diver reach the ocean floor by matching a series of colored blocks.
In addition to these five games, a free DSi version of the Opera web browser will be available on April 5. Nintendo has also said that DSiWare games and programs will be offered at four price points: Free, 200 DSi Points ($2), 500 DSi Points ($5) and 800+ DSi Points ($8 or more). The prices of these five games were not revealed. Finally, if you're looking for some free DSi Points, Nintendo will give 1,000 DSi to every gamer who logs in to the DSi Shop by October 5, 2009.
The DSi will be released on Friday, April 5 in two colors, Black or Blue, for a retail price of $169.99.
