News: Eight songs from GH3 made the cut, including "Through The Fire And Flames."



Another week, another announcement from Activision about another batch of tracks for Guitar Hero: Smash Hits. The polling at SmashHits.GuitarHero.com has been tabulated for the week and the fans have spoken, they want to know which songs from Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock made the cut.

Eight songs from the third Guitar Hero game (and first one developed by Neversoft) will be included in the full band greatest hits package. They are:

  • AFI - "Miss Murder"
  • Pat Benatar - "Hit Me With Your Best Shot"
  • DragonForce - "Through The Fire And Flames"
  • Heart - "Barracuda"
  • Kiss - "Rock And Roll All Nite"
  • Living Colour - "Cult Of Personality"
  • Priestess - "Lay Down"
  • Slayer - "Raining Blood"



    Of the 48 tracks Activision plans to include in Smash Hits, 41 have been revealed, leaving seven tracks from Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s (of which two, "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister and "Nothin But A Good Time" by Poison have been revealed).     Guitar Hero: Smash Hits is being developed by Beenox and will be released on the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 on June 16.
