News: Both titles will release on June 8, alongside the Wii MotionPlus.
The Wii version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis were previously announced with release dates of June 16 and June 18, respectively. The two sports titles are the first games that will make use of the Wii MotionPlus add-on, which Nintendo penciled in for a June 8 release. So rather than let gamers buy the Wii MotionPlus and then stare at for over a week while they wait for the first games that support it, Electronic Arts has pushed up the release of both games to June 8.
УThis was important for us to bring in our ship dates for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis to hit right at the launch of the new Wii MotionPlus accessory in North America,Ф said Todd Sitrin, Group Vice President Global Marketing, EA Sports. УFans deserve great games that use the new accessory, and now they'll have two that deliver authentic sports motion as soon as the Wii MotionPlus hits stores.Ф
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will be available in two different versions: a $59.99 edition will come bundled with the Wii MotionPlus while a $49.99 version will include just the game. EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis will not be released with a MotionPlus bundle. Instead, it will be available for $49.99 with the add-on sold separately for $19.99.
Neither game requires the Wii MotionPlus add-on, it merely makes the motion control on the Wii Remote more responsive.
