News: That, along with a list of the company's biggest franchises and 43 other million sellers.

Hot on the heels of Nintendo's reveal of the bestselling Nintendo-published DS and Wii games of all-time (most of them, anyway), Capcom has revealed their list of all-time bestselling games in a recent financial report.

First, they broke out their list of bestselling franchises (in this case, "bestselling" means over 1 million copies sold worldwide). Not surprisingly, the Resident Evil series takes the top spot:

1. Resident Evil (56 titles) - 40 million
2. Mega Man (124 titles) - 28 million
3. Street Fighter (62 titles) - 27 million
4. Devil May Cry (11 titles) - 10 million
5. Monster Hunter (11 titles) - 8.5 million
6. Onimusha (12 titles) - 7.8 milliion)
7. Dino Crisis (13 titles) - 4.4 million
8. Ghosts'n Goblins (16 titles) - 4.4 milion)
9. Ace Attorney (12 titles) - 3.2 million
10. Final Fight (10 titles) - 3.2 million
11. Breath of Fire (15 titles) - 3 million
12. Lost Planet (7 titles) - 2.7 million
13. 1942 (3 titles) - 1.2 million
14. Commando (2 titles) - 1.2 million
15. Devil Kings (10 titles) - 1.2 million

The company also included the number of games available in each series for comparison's sake. However, they did not define how individual titles were counted for each series but it appears to be based on how many different consoles a game appeared on as well as how many different editions it was released in. For example, Lost Planet has seven titles: Xbox 360 Regular Edition, Xbox 360 Collector's Edition, Xbox 360 Platinum Hits, PC, PS3, PC Colonies Edition and Xbox 360 Colonies Editon. How the numbering works for the Commando series, which has three games spread across more than a dozen systems, is unknown.

Below, you'll also find a full listing of every game Capcom has published that has sold over a million copies. It's heavy with Resident Evil and Street Fighter titles including the Super NES version of Street Fighter II at number one and recent releases Resident Evil 5 (PS3/Xbox 360) at number three and Street Fighter IV (PS3/Xbox 360) at number eight. No wonder both franchises sit at the top of the franchise list...

2. Resident Evil 2 (PS1 / January 1998) - 4.96 million
