In all, thirteen bots will be playable in the game, seven Autobots and six Decepticons. Three of these characters will be exclusively available in the multiplayer portion of the game.

The full lineup of playable characters includes:

Autobots
  • Optimus Prime
  • Breakaway
  • Bumblebee
  • Ironhide
  • Ratchet
  • Aerialbot (Only in Multiplayer Mode)
  • Protectobot (Only in Multiplayer Mode)

    Decepticons
  • Grindor
  • Long Haul
  • Megatron
  • Sideways

Activision has also announced that the soundtrack for the game will be composed by Steve Jablonsky. He contributed music to the both Transformers movies as well as composing the full score to Gears of War 2. Assisting Mr. Jablonsky with the game's score are composer Bobby Tahouri (contributor to the Iron Man score) and electronic music act Julien-K (their song "Technical Difficulties" was used in the first movie).

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be released on the DS, PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 on June 15.
