News: Also, Bender will be voicing a Decepticon.
One day after announcing which Autobots and Decepticons will be playable in the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen game adaptation, Activision has now announced who will be joining the game's voice cast.
Lead human actors Shia LeBeouf (Sam Witwicky) and Megan Fox (Mikaela Banes) will voice their digital counterparts in the game. Several of the movie's Transformer voice actors including Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime), Mark Ryan (Bumblebee), Jess Harnell (Ironhide), Charles Adler (Starscream) and Robert Foxworth (Ratchet) will also be appearing in the game. Cullen voiced Optimus Prime in the original cartoon and he will be joined in the game by another alum of the cartoon series as Frank Welker returns to voice Megatron. Welker will also lend his voice to the movie as the voice of Soundwave. Activision did not say whether or not Soundwave would appear in the game (he wasn't on the playable characters list either), but we can hope.
Rounding out the voice cast are John Di Maggio (yes, Bender Bending Rodriguez himself) as Sideways and James Arnold Taylor as The Fallen. While it's probably too much to ask for Di Maggio to use Bender's voice for another robot, we can hope for that as well.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be released on the DS, PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 on June 15.
We'll have more soon.
