News: Fallout 3 DLC expansions expand their availability.

Bethesda has announced that more downloadable content for Fallout 3 is on the way and that all of the previously Xbox 360-exclusive DLC will also be making its way to the PlayStation 3.

The new expansions will be titled "Point Lookout" and "Mothership Zeta". Point Lookout will be made available for the PC and Xbox 360 in June for a price of $10/800 Microsoft Points. According to Develop, it will be set in a "massive new swampland area." Mothership Zeta will also cost $10/800 Microsoft Points and will be available on the PC and Xbox 360 in July. Not surprisingly, Develop says it will involve aliens.

PS3 owners will get a chance to play these two new DLC expansions and all three of the original expansions starting in June. They will be released on the PlayStation Network in order, starting with Operation: Anchorage, and be spaced about six weeks apart. This means The Pitt should arrive in July and Broken Steel will be released on the PS3 in August or September.

Bethesda also has plans to release all of the Fallout 3 expansions on retail discs starting on May 26 with Fallout 3 Game Add On Pack: The Pitt and Operation: Anchorage for the PC and Xbox 360. It will retail for $19.99, which is the exact same price if you were to download it from the Xbox Live Marketplace. The game also requires a hard drive, which means that its likely it downloads the expansions to your hard drive and requires the Fallout 3 disc in the drive (the "Game Add On Pack" part of the title is also a dead giveaway). A second retail compilation, Fallout 3 Game Add On Pack: Broken Steel and Point Lookout, will also be released on the PC and Xbox 360 sometime this Summer.

Finally, Bethesda plans to release Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition in the Fall on the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. It will include all five DLC expansions and, if you can wait, will be much more reasonably priced.

We'll have more soon.
