News: But only for PS3 and Xbox 360 players.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed the comments from Deadline Games director S°ren Lund and announced that the previously download-only Watchmen: The End Is Nigh will be released as a disc-based game this July. PC owners may feel a bit left out as the retail release will only be coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. To add insult to injury, WBIE has also announced that the second half of Watchmen: The End Is Nigh will not be made available to download on the PC.
The PS3 release of Watchmen: The End Is Nigh Parts 1 and 2 will be made available in a special two disc Blu-ray package containing the game and a copy of Watchmen: The Director's Cut. Referred to as Watchmen: The End is Nigh The Complete Experience, the set will also feature "exclusive artwork in a premium package."
The Xbox 360 version will be released on a standard Xbox 360 DVD and will not be packaged with the movie.
Downable versions of Watchmen: The End Is Nigh Part 2 will be released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in July.
Pricing has not been announced for any of the various versions of The End Is Nigh.
