News: Second Xbox 360 karaoke game coming this October.
Microsoft has announced that they will be releasing a second karaoke simulator for the Xbox 360, titled Lips: Number One Hits, this October.
The game will be very similar to the original Lips, but will include a brand new selection of songs along with some form of Xbox 360 Avatar support. Microsoft hasn't copped to a confirmed number yet, but the game is said to contain "popular tracks spanning diverse genres and generations that have graced the No. 1 position on major global charts."
The following nine songs were announced today as a part of Lips: Number One Hits...
"Viva La Vida" - Coldplay
"Disturbia" - Rihanna
"U Can't Touch This," - MC Hammer
"More Than Words" - Extreme
"Apologize" - Timbaland featuring OneRepublic
"Karma Chameleon" - Culture Club
"I Heard It Through the Grapevine" - Marvin Gaye
"Oh, Pretty Woman" - Roy Orbison
"Ready, Set, Go!" - Tokio Hotel
If none of these songs inspire your karaoke bone (and if "U Can't Touch This" doesn't excite you, nothing will), Lips: Number One Hits will bring back the Get Music Mode, allowing players to rip songs from their MP3 player or Xbox 360 hard drive. New songs (complete with lyrics and video) will also be made available on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Oh, and speaking of "U Can't Touch This", Microsoft has supplied a few screenshots featuring that song (and Hammer's giant pants), along with a few shots from "Karma Chameleon." Check them out right here.
