News: And don't worry, it will star "mature Link."
Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed that Nintendo will release a new Legend of Zelda game on the Wii in 2010 at an E3 2009 Developer's Roundtable. Pikmin 3 was revealed in a similar manner at last year's E3 expo.
The game will make use of the Wii MotionPlus add-on and may require it. It's graphical style will once again feature "mature Link" and Miyamoto even had a preliminary screenshot on hand:
During the discussion, Miyamoto briefly showed an image from the game featuring a mature Link barely visible through a broken wall. Although the picture only showed Link from behind, a short girl in a long robe stood in full view at Link's back. Wearing a crystal necklace and emanating a blue aura, she gave off an otherworldly look -- akin to Zora from Ocarina of Time.
According to 1UP, Miyamoto wanted to show the game at Nintendo's Press Conference, but the development team felt their time would be better spent working on the game concept as opposed to an E3 demo.
We will definitely have more soon.
