News: Metal Gear's first simultaneous multiplatform release.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising was initially unveiled for the Xbox 360 at Microsoft's Press Conference on Monday. On Tuesday, Sony Computer Entertainment America CEO Jack Tretton stealthily revealed the game was in development for the PlayStation 3 during an interview with GameTrailers. And on Wednesday, Konami completed the trifecta by announcing the game would also be coming to the PC.
According to Konami, the game, developed by Kojima Productions, will be the franchise's "first simultaneous multi-format release." Of course, when gamers will get a chance to play as Raiden and use his "Lightning Bolt Action" is unknown. Konami may have stretched the initial announcement over three days, but they chose to reveal nothing else of substance.
УThe Metal Gear Solid series has always pushed the bar with its cinematic visuals and entertaining story line,Ф commented Martin Schneider, European Marketing Director for Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH. УNow even more gamers can immerse themselves in the franchise and experience the groundbreaking series as Metal Gear Solid: Rising heads to the platform of their choice.Ф
We'll have more soon.
