News: Majesco compiles the series onto a single disc budget release.
Here's one that slipped through the cracks for inclusion in this week's list of new releases: Mad Dog McCree Gunslinger Pack for the Wii. For those with long memories, the Mad Dogh McCree series was a trilogy of light gun shooters that appeared in arcades in the early 90s. They used laserdisc technology to propel the gameplay forward with full motion video and live actors.
Published by Majesco and developed by Digital Leisures, this Mad Dog compilation includes all three games in the series, Mad Dog McCree, Mad Dog 2: The Lost Gold and The Last Bounty Hunter, for a bargain price of $19.99.
The Gunslinger Pack adds four-player cooperative gameplay to the series (Posse Mode) as well as a competitive mode known as Rebel Mode:
Players use their Wii Remote or Wii Zapper accessory as the ultimate six shooter in this Wild West adventure featuring live actors. Fast reflexes and precision shooting are the keys to survival when outlaws ambush from every angle and nail-biting showdowns are only a bullet away. As they pursue Mad Dog and four other wanted fugitives, players can choose from three different difficulty levels to hunt them alone or join forces with others in two multiplayer modes - Posse and Rebel. In Posse Mode, players work together with up to three friends in pursuit of a combined high score, while in Rebel Mode they work independently with up to four bounty hunters for individual high scores.
Mad Dog McCree Gunslinger Pack has been rated T for Teen.
