Ed Boon's Twitter account is once again ablaze with information about Mortal Kombat 9. Midway Chicago is hard at work on the next iteration of the famed fighting series with Boon confirming that motion capture work on "sick" special moves and Fatalities took place yesterday. He also reassured fans that the next Mortal Kombat game would be Mature-rated, even though the last game in the series, Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe, was released with a Teen rating. Finally, he revealed the team is still undecided as to whether minigames (i.e. Test Your Might and Kombat Chess) would be included in the game.
