GameSpot is reporting that lucha libre wrestling will be making its way to the DS, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 very soon.
The game will be titled AAA: El Videojuego and it will be based on the Mexican wrestling promotion Asistencia Asesorэa y Administraciєn (Assistance, Consulting and Administration). The game will be published by new publisher Slang with the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions on track for a Fall 2009 or Early 2010 release. Developed by Immersion Software (Monster Madness), the game will be built using the Unreal Engine 3.
The DS, PSP and Wii versions of the game will be released sometime after that and they are being developed by Sabarasa Studios.
According to GameSpot, the game will feature the six-sided ring normally used in lucha libre wrestling. Many of the promotion's masked (and unmasked) stars will also be included in the game, such as La Parka and Konnan. Other wrestlers that Slang would like to include in the finished product are Octagon, Abismo Negro, Jack Evans, Teddy Hart, and Silver King.
