News: OK, technically, it's a Director's Cut.
CD Projekt RED has announced that The Witcher will receive a second major update they've dubbed the "Director's Cut." Soon, The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut will be available for digital download from Steam, Impulse, Direct2Drive and other download services. For those that already own a copy of the game, CD Projekt RED will offer the Director's Cut as a free downloadable patch.
What will gamers get from the Director's Cut package? Mainly, it will change the game portions of the game to how they looked in the original European release. This includes the "conquest cards" of the various girls Geralt can meet, which will now include topless nudity. The Director's Cut will also include the recent version 1.5 patch.
Here's what CD Projekt RED had to say about it:
What is The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut?
The Director's Cut is the version of the game our developers originally intended for you to play. It is essentially the same game that gamers around the world have experienced Ц now available legitimately for the first time in North America.
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut doesn't have a solid release date yet, but according to CD Projekt RED, it will be coming "soon."
