News: One's coming in a few weeks, one's coming in 2010.

Two more games have been penciled in on video game release calendars everywhere and while one is coming in a few weeks, while another has been officially pushed into 2010 (although a 2009 release was never really in the cards).

IO Interactive, the development team behind the relentlessly brutal Kane & Lynch: Bad Men and the Hitman series are seeking out their softer side with their next release, Mini Ninjas. The DS, PC, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 game will be released on September 8 and it'll feature a cadre of quirky ninjas saving the world from chaos:

Mini Ninjas takes you on a journey to feudal Japan where you join Hiro, Futo, and the rest of the ninja clan on their biggest ninja adventure ever as they embark on an epic and electrifying quest to restore harmony to a world on the brink of chaos.

Elsewhere, Electronic Arts has announced that Army of Two: The 40th Day will just miss being a 2009 release when it ships to stores for the PS3, PSP and Xbox 360 on January 12, 2010. According to EA, the multiplayer modes for this co-operative shooter sequel will be much improved over the original. In fact, EA is using this improvement as a pre-order bonus, as the company plans to offer exclusive access to the new Extraction multiplayer mode just to those who pre-order. The mode will be unlocked for everyone else after the game has been available for a month on February 12. The Extraction mode sounds similar to the Firefight mode that is being included with the upcoming Halo 3: ODST...

СExtraction' pits a team of four players against a series of unique enemy waves as they move from point to point in the ruined city. Players must strategize as a unified team to combat the different forces of the 40th Day Initiative while trying to get out alive.

We'll have more on both games soon.
