Amazon's 'Spend $80, Get $20 Off' video game sale @ Gaming Target

News: Another big pre-Black Friday deal from Amazon.

After finding a lot of success with their "Spend $80, Get a $40 Credit" promotion a few weeks ago, Amazon is hoping for a repeat with their new "Spend $80, Get $20 Off" promotion.

While this promotion features less than half the number of titles the previous one did, there are plenty of great titles in the 294 games that qualify for this deal. The rules are a bit different this time around, so if you're interested in getting a $20 discount on your next game purchase between now and November 21, be sure to familiarize yourself with them:

Spend $80 on these select Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 titles, and receive $20 off your purchase. To qualify for the credit, you must place one or more eligible items in your cart that add up to at least $80 (not counting taxes, gift-wrap, or shipping), and enter claim code BUY80G20 into the Promotional Claim Code box during the check out process.

Only purchases from Amazon.com as the seller and made between November 15, 2009 and November 21, 2009 will qualify for this promotion. The promotional claim code may only be used once per household. The promotional claim code will expire at 11:59pm PST on 11/21/2009.

Sadly, the list of "selected games" does not include many of this month's biggest hits such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, New Super Mario Bros. Wii or Uncharted 2 (is that a possible preview of what the retailer is holding back for their alway amazing Black Friday?). But a ton of fantastic games do qualify, such as Batman: Arkham Asylum, Wii Sports Resort, LittleBigPlanet: Game of the Year Edition, Need For Speed: Shift, Forza Motorsport 3, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City and more.
