News: And it's a true sequel, not a Galactrix-like spinoff.

GamePro has posted a short blurb on their website announcing that the January 2010 issue of the magazine will reveal the first details about Puzzle Quest 2.

The blurb is short on details, but it does include a single screenshot, confirming the game is in development for the Xbox 360 (likely as an Xbox Live Arcade title). But like the first game, I would guess it will eventually be released on the PC, all of the current consoles, the DS, the PSP and any cell phone that can handle the Bejeweled-like RPG action.

The article has also revealed that Puzzle Quest creator Infinite Interactive will be developing the sequel and D3 Publisher will once again publish it.

The January 2010 issue of GamePro should be winging its way to subscriber's mailboxes in the next week or so.

We'll have more soon.
