News: America goes Pro.

Capcom and Nintendo have announced they will be bringing the Wii Classic Controller Pro to North America this April. The Pro is a new version of the currently available controller designed to give gamers more precise control of games that make use of the Classic Controller.

The Pro will include a two hand grips, a second row of shoulder buttons (as opposed to the single row on the current Classic Controller) and the cord to connect the Pro to the Wii Remote has been relocated to the top of the controller (where it should have been all along).

A black version of the controller will come bundled with Capcom's upcoming action-adventure game Monster Hunter Tri for a price of $59.99. Gamers will also be able to purchase the Classic Controller Pro separately (in white or black) for the same price as the current Classic Controller, $19.99. Monster Hunter Tri will also be available in a game-only package for $49.99.

УMonster Hunter Tri has made a huge splash in the Japanese market, and we're confident the bundle with the Classic Controller Pro will give fans in North America plenty to get excited about,Ф said Steve Singer, Nintendo of America's vice president of Licensing. УGamers of all kinds enjoy playing games on Wii. Monster Hunter Tri delivers an incredible new experience on Wii, while the Classic Controller Pro gives players even more control options for their favorite Wii games.Ф

We'll have more soon.
