Transformers G1: Awakening rolls onto App Store @ Gaming Target

Glu Mobile has announced that a new strategy RPG starring the Transformers, Transformers G1: Awakening, is now available on the iTunes App Store.

Available to download for $4.99, the G1 in the title of this iPhone/iPod Touch game stands for Generation 1, so all your favorites from the 80s cartoon are ready to transform and roll out.

In addition to the ability to play as several franchise favorites, Glu has included the following features in Transformers G1: Awakening...

23 Characters from the original series - Play as Autobots, including Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Ratchet, and Ironhide, and try to defeat the most infamous Decepticon villains, including Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave and Frenzy! Get familiar with the unique properties each character has with its weaponry, while exploring each robot's strengths and weaknesses.
