News: Four different Spider-Men take on New York City.
Gamers will get their first chance to see Activision's Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions at next weekend's WonderCon in San Francisco.
The description of the Activision-led panel has also shed a few more details on the game, including the developer (Beenox Games, previously responsible for many of Activision's PC ports) and the voice of Spider-Man (Christopher Daniel Barnes, who starred in the 1994 animated series). The presence of Barnes lends further credence to my theory that Shattered Dimensions will be based on the multiple Spider-Men plotline of that show's grand finale.
Others involved in the panel include Marvel writer Dan Slott (The Mighty Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, and She-Hulk comic book series), Beenox's Creative Director Thomas Wilson and Activision Senior Producer Meghan Morgan. In addition to the panel discussion, Activision plans to show off exclusive screenshots and videos from the game.
WonderCon is not the only place where gamers will get a glimpse of the next Spider-Man game. GamePro will feature the game in their next issue and
GamePro.com has posted the following description of the game:
Influenced by four different comic book re-imaginings of the famous web-slinger, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions offers players a unique [look] into some of the character's most compelling comic transformations.
We'll have more on Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions soon.
