News: And seven games have been announced.

Microsoft is unveiling their new motion control peripheral, formerly codenamed Project Natal, in Los Angeles right now. But while a huge crowd of game journalists is locked in an auditorium with no Internet access, USA Today has all the scoop on what is now known as the Kinect.

No pricing or release date information were revealed for the Kinect, but the newspaper does have the details on seven upcoming games:

  • Kinectimals - A virtual pet simulation that allows players to raise 20 different types of cats including lions, tigers and bears cheetahs.

  • Joy Ride - BigPark's free-to-play XBLA kart racer has been given a Kinect tune up, allowing players to control the action with a virtual steering wheel.

  • Kinect Sports - Sure to be nicknamed Xbox 360 Sports any second now, it's a minigame collection that includes boxing, bowling, beach volleyball, track and field, soccer and table tennis.

  • Kinect Adventures - A river rafting game.

  • Dance Central - A video game adaptation of "So You Think You Can Dance" developed by MTV Games.

  • Untitled Star Wars Game - Microsoft and LucasArts are teaming up for an exclusive Star Wars game with lightsabers and Force powers.

  • Untitled Disney Game - Microsoft is also teaming up with Disney Interactive to create a Kinect game starring Disney's classic characters.

We'll have more on the Microsoft Kinect as E3 rolls on.
