News: Sleeker... smaller... whisper quiet... 250GB hard drive... built in wi-fi... $299.

Microsoft has closed out their 2010 E3 Media Briefing with the reveal of a "smaller and sleeker" Xbox 360. The best part? This version 2 of the Xbox 360 will be available in stores at the end of the week for $299. Or the same price as the current Xbox 360 system.

Don Mattrick, Senio Vice President of the Xbox 360 Division, described the new system like this: "Sleeker... smaller... whisper quiet... 250GB hard drive... built in wi-fi... $299."

The latest refresh of the Xbox 360 hardware is now available to order at Amazon and other retailers.

Images of the new system (and more from E3 2010) will be uploaded soon.

UPDATE: As promised, here's what the new Xbox 360 looks like.
