News: Naked Snake in 3D! The world is not ready.
In the wake of Nintendo's massive 3DS debut at this year's E3 Expo, Konami has announced the first details on five titles the publisher has in development for the system
The biggest news is that the company's Metal Gear Solid game for the handheld will be a spin-off of MGS 3: Snake Eater, considered by many to be the best game in the series. The 3DS incarnation will be known as Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D: The Naked Sample. That's a mouthful, but that's really the title. The publisher is also working on 3DS entries in four other franchises: Pro Evolution Soccer, Contra, Frogger, and Konami Baseball (working title).
"We are extremely thrilled to confirm that Konami has five major titles in development for Nintendo's 3DS system," said Shinji Hirano, President for Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "Bringing popular franchises such as Metal Gear Solid, Pro Evolution Soccer, Contra and Frogger to the 3D realm is an exciting endeavor for us and we cannot wait to share more news in the coming months."
Obviously, no release information could be revealed as Nintendo themselves is keeping the 3DS' street date a mystery.
We'll have more from E3 2010 soon.
