David Jaffe is obsessed with the idea of the big, splashy E3 reveal. So it comes as little surprise that his new game, Twisted Metal, took the coveted "surprise spot" to close out Sony's Press Conference. We don't want to upset Mr. Jaffe, so we'll just ignore that everyone has known this game is coming for over a year now.
But anyway, Twisted Metal is scheduled for release in 2011 for the PlayStation 3 with Jaffe's team at Eat. Sleep. Play. doing the development. Jaffe is touting this as the best Twisted Metal ever with "16 players online, 2-4 player split screen, amazing new game modes, helicopters, motorcycles, sports cars, all battling it out in highly interactive levels with all the skill, speed, and strategy you could ask for!"
