News: Six new challengers enter the ring.

Six more characters have joined the fight in Marvel vs Capcom 3. Not surprisingly, Comic-Con was the setting for the reveal as Capcom has officially confirmed that Marvel supervillains Doctor Doom and the Super-Skrull will be joined by Capcom heroes Trish (from Devil May Cry) and Chun-Li in the game.

Meanwhile, new additions to the game's screenshot gallery at Marvel.com have also revealed Thor and Amaterasu (the wolf god from Okami) will be part of the final fighter roster. Quickly realizing that neither god has been officially announced as being a part of the game, Marvel has pulled the Thor/Amaterasu screenshots from the gallery. But you can check out the character art for the God of Thunder and the Sun Goddess right here:

Capcom also released a new trailer showcasing the four official additions to the cast, which you can watch right here:

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds will be released next Spring for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
