News: And Dead Space 2 will probably reach out and touch someone on the iPhone.
Electronic Arts has used their quarterly financial report to reveal two new early 2011 releases, one we knew about and one we didn't.
The one we knew about is Crytek's Crysis 2. Previously scheduled for a Fall 2010 release on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, EA announced that the game would now be released in early 2011.
It will be joined by the previously unannounced
Need For Speed: Shift 2. EA first mentioned the game during their last quarterly financial report as "Need For Speed TBA." Well, now it's been announced and we know it'll be coming to "consoles" and the PC in early 2011.
Finally, EA revealed that
Dead Space 2 would be coming to the PC, consoles and "handheld/mobile" on January 25, 2011. While a DS or PSP release is possible, it's more likely that the publisher is planning an iPhone version of their space horror game as EA has jumped into iPhone development in a big way over the last year.
We'll have more soon.
