News:
GameSpot is reporting that Atari has U-turned the release of Test Drive Unlimited 2. Instead of getting the game ready for its planned September 21 launch on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the publisher has pushed the racing title back to early 2011.
The delay seems to have come about to give the development team more time to work on the game. Naturally, a delay in the game's release has also pushed back the planned beta:
Eden Games senior producer Nour Polloni said the extra time will also allow his team to take into account consumer feedback. The game's beta has also been pushed back to coincide with the new release schedule, and will be confirmed by Atari in the coming weeks.
As consolation, the publisher announced it will reward gamers already signed up to the beta with an as-yet-unannounced exclusive in-game item.
