News: So it begins...
Blizzard has revealed that the first feature and balance patch will be available for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty in September.
This patch (offically version 1.1) will contain a number of tweaks and fixes including "additional mod features, Editor improvements and bug fixes, some custom game improvements, support for NVidia's 3D Vision, and more."
A number of balance changes will also be coming to the game, as detailed in a Situation Report published on the StarCraft II Blog. According to Blizzard, all three races will be slightly rebalanced with more detailed explanations of the changes available at the link.
Finally, it should come as no surprise that Blizzard confirmed this is just the first of many patches for StarCraft II and that they plan to support the game for a long time: "As with all of our previous games, we will support StarCraft II for many years to come."
We all knew that already, Blizzard, but thanks for saying it.
We'll have more on StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty soon.
