News: Mega Man, Rock Man and Bad Box Art Mega Man. Oh yeah...
Yesterday, Capcom and Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune unveiled the first gameplay trailer for Mega Man Universe, the upcoming Capcom crossover game for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. At its heart, the game will be a classic side-scrolling platformer that takes place in Mega Man's universe. But gamers will also be able to play as characters from the Street Fighter series.
Further owing to the crossover craziness, there will be at least three different versions of Mega Man available in Mega Man Universe:
Rockman - The Japanese original we know and love.
Mega Man - The "American" Mega Man is considered a separate character, even though he and Rockman are supposed to be identical. He looks sleek and sinister, and bares more than a passing resemblence to the Mega Man found on the US boxart of Mega Man 4.
Bad Box Art Mega Man - The yellow doofus who originally appeared on the cover of the NES' Mega Man back in 1987.
Two new trailers show off a little bit more of the game as well as Mega Man and Bad Box Art Mega Man in action:
