Earth Defense Force 2017 has built up a huge cult following since its 2007 release on the Xbox 360. However, one of the greatest games of this generation (and the closest thing we'll ever get to Starship Troopers: The Game) in still unknown to the vast majority of gamers. Hopefully, that'll all change when D3 Publisher releases Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon sometime next year.
The sequel has yet to be officially announced, but a NeoGAF user spotted a banner advertising the game at this year's GameStop Manager's Conference. Further Internet sleuthing has revealed the game's extremely official site at EDFIA.com.
With no other details about the game available, we don't even know which platforms it'll be released on. Earth Defense Force 2017 was an Xbox 360 exclusive, but let's hope Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon includes every gamer in the fun.
