News: And I want a pony...
Gaming Target's Kyle Hilliard opined about
Inception's video game connections when the movie was released in theaters this summer. Now it's making the rounds of Italian cinemas, which prompted director Christopher Nolan to reveal (via
Variety) that he wants to turn his mindbending dreamscape of a movie into a video game:
"[What] we are looking at doing is developing a videogame based on the world of the film, which has all kinds of ideas that you can't fit into a feature film," Nolan said at a packed Rome press conference. "That's something we've been talking about and are looking at doing long term, in a couple of years."
Obviously, it's much too early to worry about things what platform an
Inception game would appear or who would be interested in publishing duties.
Nolan's last film before
Inception was the most recent Batman movie,
The Dark Knight. A game was in the works at EA's Pandemic Studios, but development problems led to its cancellation.
Hopefully the same fate doesn't befall an
Inception game.
