News: And the Subway stage makes a return.

The latest episode of GameTrailers TV is drenched in blood and Netherrealm Studios' Mortal Kombat is the guilty party. Geoff Keighley's weekly video game show goes behind-the-scenes of the gory fighter and reveals the latest kombatant to enter the arena: Jax.

Major Jackson "Jax" Briggs is Sonya Blade's partner and the owner of a pair of bionic arms that help go toe-to-toe with the demonic denizens of Outworld. You can see the character perform his patented bodyslam (among other moves) in Chapter 2 of the GameTrailers TV episode below...

For those of you who can't get enough of the red stuff, loading up Chapter 4 will unleash a bunch of new fatalities and a look at the Subway stage.

Mortal Kombat will be available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 next Spring.
