News: Konami cuts the game from its 2011 release schedule.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising, the Solid Snake-less spinoff with "Lighting Bolt Action," won't make it's previously scheduled 2011 release date. Konami has told Kotaku that the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 game will now be released in 2012.
Rising, which stars Raiden and takes place between MGS2 and MGS4, will be the first Metal Gear Solid game to appear on the Xbox 360. Not only that, but it'll be the first Metal Gear Solid game released simultaneously for multiple platforms. And it'll also be the first console game bearing the "Solid" subtitle not directed by Hideo Kojima.
A reason for the delay was not revealted, but we'll have more soon.
