Pac-Man Championship Edition took the Xbox Live Arcade by storm when it was released back in 2007 and the sequel, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, is poised to do the same thing when it's added to the download service this Wednesday. Previously tagged with a "Fall 2010," the news that it'll be available in two days is most welcome indeed.
No price was revealed for Pac-Man CE DX (as publisher Namco Bandai calls it), but the original can be had for 800 Microsoft Points ($10), so the sequel will likely carry a similar price.
More than just a simple repackaging of the standard Pac-Man experience, Pac-Man CE reinvented the maze game and made Pac-Man relevant again. The sequel adds even more insane modes and mazes including Pac-Bombs and more Ghosts than ever before.
But don't just take my word for it, check out the latest trailer right here:
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX is also being developed for the PlayStation Network, but no release date for that version has been announced.
