News: There's nothing cooler than letting the new generation play an old school classic.
It looks like Nintendo has finally realized that gamers want their classic games to come in collections as IGN.com has discovered the Zelda Collection disc is real. Previously thought of as just a rumor, IGN has obtained promotional materials that Nintendo has given to stores about this new collection.
One of the pictures confirms that Nintendo plans to pack in the bonus disc with new GameCube systems. But considering the large user base Nintendo already has that obviously includes many Zelda fans, I wouldn't be surprised if the promotional disc was bundled with other GameCube products as well. The possibility is also there for Nintendo to sell the disc separately, but that's just speculation on my part.
So now to the good stuff, what's on the disc? It's called The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition and includes The Legend of Zelda (NES), Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (NES), The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64), The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64), and a demo of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. A Link To The Past is not in this collection, most likely because the Game Boy Advance conversion is selling so well.
