Capcom scares up RE4 on the PS2: Leon and company will take up arms on the PS2 again at the end of 2005.

After years of wondering whether Capcom would bring the Resident Evil series back to the PS2, it has finally happened. A Halloween press releaseаrevealed that Capcom is working on a version of Resident Evil 4 for the PlayStation 2 that should be released in Late 2005.

Originally conceived as a GameCube exclusive title, the game has been delayed numerous times and now due to "requests from fans worldwide and shareholder requests" it's coming to the PS2. The PS2 version is also not intended as a port as it is said to take advantage of the strengths of each platform it is being developed for.

But we'll have more as it is revealed.
