News: Burnout 4 is getting ready to play in traffic.

Electronic Arts today announced that the next game in the Burnout series will be titled Burnout: Revenge and that it's coming to the PS2 and Xbox in September.

Almost nothing was revealed about the game except for the reason for the title's moniker. Burnout: Revenge will feature a Revenge Mode that places players in a timed gauntlet through rush hour traffic. EA also said that they would officially unveil Burnout: Revenge at this year's E3 Expo.

However, we do have the first two screenshots for those so inclined.

We'll keep you posted on all things Burnout as it drives into the spotlight.
