News: Namco: "The game promises to be the most complete motorcycle grand prix simulation ever."
Namco has announced they are developing and publishing MotoGP 4 for the PS2 this summer.
Striving for realism, the makers of this title have packed the game with three engine classes (MotoGP, 125cc and 250cc) spread out over 16 tracks. The game is also said to boast MotoGP legends Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Rainey, Mick Doohan, Wayne Gardner and the late Daijiro Kato. I'm sure those names mean a lot to MotoGP fans.
In addition to racing, MotoGP 4 will allow players to test the parts of their bike between races to look for that extra performance boost. And if you're just interested in racing, the game will include a four-player splitscreen mode.
"Meticulously modeled after real-world motorcycles, riders and courses, 'MotoGP4' ranks in its own class when it comes to authentic racing on two wheels," said Yoshi Niki, Business Unit Director with Namco Hometek Inc. "The addition of all three engine classes adds a new level of enjoyment to the game, letting gamers test their passion for grand prix racing."
