News: Another popular Japanese RPG series makes its way to American shores.

Nippon Ichi America has continued their publishing outreach into Japan's RPG oddities with the announcement of Generation of Chaos for the PSP. Generation of Chaos is being developed by Idea Factory and has already had a very successful PS2 edition in Japan. Currently scheduled for a spring 2006 release date, Generation of Chaos sports a pretty typical Japanese Strategy RPG story:

Battles for world domination have been dragging on for generations. Now Allen of Zodia rises to end all wars and bring peace to the world. After the opening story, the player uses the strategy mode to build and strengthen the kingdom. In the beginning, the kingdom is small and weak. However, as you progress through the game, the player can conquer neighboring kingdoms and stretch its ruling powers throughout the land of Duke.

Generation of Chaos will recreate a true world war as battles will take place with up to 60 combatants. GOC also gives you the option of espionage attacks for that personal touch you just can't get in full scale war. And like real war, you can make alliances with your neighbors or go at it unilaterally. The choice is yours and all choices will affect the outcome of the war.

We'll have more on Generation of Chaos soon.
