News: The Special Forces are armed and ready this winter.

With the tape still freshly cut from the shipping boxes Battlefield 2 arrived in a little while ago, EA and Digital Illusions have announced the first expansion: Special Forces.

Battlefield 2: Special Forces is being readied for a late 2005 release and will include new weapons, gadgets, and 10 new vehicles. Players will be given the chance to control six different classes of Special Forces agents: Navy SEALs, British SAS, Russian Spetznas, MEC Special Forces, Rebel groups and insurgents.

Special Forces is being developed by Digital Illusions Canada and we'll have more on it soon.
