News: VU Games has snapped up the rights to Ludlum's literary oeuvre.
VU Games has announced that they've reached an agreement with the estate of Robert Ludlum to bring the author's works (and any movies that spring from them) to life as video games.
The deal covers Ludlum's whole catalog, but Vivendi seemed most interested in the Bourne series and the Covert One series.
"Properties like Bourne and Covert One naturally lend themselves to video games, and we are excited to bring Robert Ludlum's stories to life in a way that has never been done before," said Jeffrey M. Weiner, CEO of Ludlum Entertainment. "Our long-term partnership with VU Games underscores our belief in the creativity and vision that the development team will bring to these exciting new projects."
No details were revealed about which books would receive the game treatment first or even what platforms the future titles would appear on. The Bourne Identity and The Bourne Supremecy have both been made into feature films starring Matt Damon.
We'll have more on all things Bourne when we remember it.
