News: We still don't know when, but we know how much.

Microsoft has used the German Games Convention in Leipzig to finally announce the pricing of the Xbox 360. After months of speculation it's finally been confirmed that the system will indeed come in two different flavors.

For $399.99 you get the "Xbox 360 System" which includes the Xbox 360 console, a 20 GB removable hard drive, one wireless controller, a headset, a removable faceplate on the console, an HD Component cable, Xbox Live Silver membership and a Media Remote.

For $299.99, gamers will be treated to the "Xbox 360 Core System" that includes a Xbox 360 console, one wired controller, a removable faceplate on the console, and a standard AV cable. No mention of Xbox Live Silver was made with the Xbox 360 Core System.

Microsoft also has a slew of standalone accessories to make your Xbox 360 Core more like an Xbox 360 and other little toys for everyone:

Detachable Faceplates - $19.99

Removable Hard Drive - $99.99

Memory Unit (64 MB) - $39.99

Wireless Controller - $49.99

Wireless Controller Play & Charge Kit - $19.99

Wireless Controller Rechargeable Battery Pack - $11.99

Wireless Networking Adapter - $99.99

Headset - $19.99

Universal Media Remote - $29.99

S-Video AV Cable - $29.99

VGA HD AV Cable - $39.99

Games are an unknown at this point as neither the launch lineup or game price points were revealed. We also don't even know when the Xbox 360 will launch.

But we know how much it'll cost. Start saving now.
