News: Capcom is readying another version of the classic RE, this time for the DS.

Oh that Famitsu, they get all the good news first. According to the most recent issue, Capcom will be bringing Resident Evil: Deadly Silence to the DS in Japan. We don't know if a US release date is planned, but I think it's pretty bloody likely.

And speaking of blood, some intrepid Japanese forum member has posted scans of the Famitsu issue in question. From the screens in these scans we can see that Deadly Silence will be yet another remake of the original Resident Evil, but this time a first person mode will allow gamers to finally go eye to eye with a zombie. In fact, I'm willing to bet that the DS stylus will be put to good use with a gentle flick of the wrist being used to swing a virtual knife on the screen.

We'll have more (and hopefully a US release date) on Resident Evil: Deadly Silence soon.
