Square-Enix has finally announced the release date for Dragon Quest VIII (AKA Dragon Warrior VIII). Dragon Quest VIII: Joureny of the Cursed King will ship to stores on November 22. In Japan the release of a new Dragon Quest title is almost cause for a national holiday with many workplaces and schools closing down because the series is so popular.
Dragon Quest VIII is the first title in the series to be known as Dragon Quest in America. The series previously went by the title Dragon Warrior.
As an added bonus, the first playable demo of Final Fantasy XII will accompany Dragon Quest VIII.
So RPG fans should have plenty to play from Square-Enix come this November.
