News: Metroid Prime Hunters, Odama, Chibi-Robo, a new Game Boy Micro... something for everyone.
The first three months of 2006 will be filled with Nintendo goodness. At least that's what we can assume after Nintendo has revealed their release schedule for January through March.
First, importer fave Super Princess Peach is coming to the DS in February. I think the description says it all: "After kidnapping Peach for years and years, Bowser finally wised up and kidnapped Mario instead. Now it's Peach to the rescue, pink parasol and all."
The E3-announced Touch Golf has been renamed True Swing Golf and that's landing near the pin in January.
Game Boy players will be happy to know that Nintendo is bringing another one of Namco's Tales games over in the form of Tales of Phantasia.
And after years of delays, Odama has an official release date: March 6.
Here's the full list:
DS
1/9: Electroplankton
1/23: True Swing Golf
2/27: Super Princess Peach
3/20: Metroid Prime Hunters
GameCube
2/6: Chibi-Robo
3/6: Odama
Game Boy Advance
2/6: Drill Dozer
3/6: Tales of Phantasia
Nintendo Pennant Chase Baseball and Kirby Adventure are still MIA.
And finally, Nintendo has announced that a special edition Game Boy Micro will be released on November 28 that is styled after the original Japanese Famicom system.
Dubbed "The Special 20th Anniversary Edition", it will be maroon with a "gold NES-inspired faceplate" and include a coupon for $10 off select Nintendo-published GBA titles.
We'll have more on all of these games very soon.
