News: Naughty America: The Game is definitely going to be a new kind of MMORPG.

Wow! (And I don't mean World of Warcraft). When some bits of news cross ye olde news desk it makes you wonder just what the people involved are thinking. Naughty America: The Game, a new MMORPG being readied for a Spring launch, is just one of those things.

Through their website, Naughty America states that they deliver "quality adult entertainment that features the sexual practices of the American bedroom." They also say that "sexuality is a positive form of self-expression." and that "Naughty America believes that exploring 'naughtiness' (the realm of playful sexiness and everyday sexual fantasies) brings satisfaction and happiness to our customers." With that lofty mission statement in mind the company has decided to branch out into a new kind of sex game, an MMORPG known as Naughty America: The Game.

The game will begin much like any other MMORPG with a character creation tool that includes options like different body types, skin tones, and clothing. NA will allow further customization through "plastic surgeons, clothing shops, hair salons, tattoo parlors and other in-game hot spots."

Once you've created your in-game Sim avatar, the game dumps you in a teeming city with three, um... unique, locations:

  • Downtown offers gritty nightlife, back alleys, sex shops, video arcades, and loft apartments.

  • Uptown has outdoor cafes, a stunning central park, a casino, and luxury condo accommodations.

  • The Beach offers boardwalk games and activities, a cruise ship getaway, poolside bars and clubs, swimming, and seaside housing.

While Downtown may be too much for some, most of the game sounds very sweet with various rendezvous with your amour that include "carriage rides, the dreamy city sky-walk, a ferris wheel spin, or a night out dancing in one of the world's many nightclubs and bars."

Of course, then they go and mention that the highlight of the game "for the truly adventurous" is Sex Mode. Somewhere Jack Thompson just wet himself.

"Naughty America has built its reputation as an adult entertainment network which provides a lineup of tv-like programming, similar to that of a mainstream television network," stated Dusty Lillo, spokesman for Naughty America. "We're now expanding this high quality entertainment into an area that's long overdue, that of online gaming and social networking. Mind you, the game will not replace adult films or self-satisfaction. But, it does offer the opportunity for all adults, women and men alike, to engage in an online game without being tech-savvy- it's fun and simple!"

That really says it all doesn't it?

Naughty America: The Game is being developed by Safe Escape Studios and is scheduled to ship in Spring 2006. The official website (not safe for work) for the game is already live and includes a couple screenshots and the declaration "Sex in an online game? IT'S ABOUT TIME!"

    Maybe it is. Your thoughts?
