News: EA brings their urban brawler to the PSP.
EA has announced that the Def Jam series is coming to the PSP in the form of Def Jam Fight For NY: The Takeover, a prequel to the original Def Jam Vendetta.
Busta Rhymes, Carmen Electra, Lil' Kim, Ludacris, Method Man, Redman, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit and more will use new moves and fight in new arenas while telling the story of how D-Mob came to rule New York.
The game will also feature a create-a-fighter mode that can be outfit with clothes from Def Jam University, Phat Farm, Brand Jordan, Ecko Unlimited, Enyce, Rocawear, Sean John, State Property, Reebok, and more.
The EA Canada and AKI developed title will also feature 1-on-1 wireless fighting, now whether that's Ad Hoc or Infrastructure, well we don't know.
"We are excited to continue our strong relationship with Def Jam and bring this critically acclaimed franchise to the PSP for the first time ever," said Craig Rechenmacher, Senior Director of Marketing for EA. "The exclusive new fighting moves, new gameplay content and original story mode bring a completely fresh Def Jam experience to the handheld."
This shouldn't be news to anyone that saw Circuit City's ad this past Sunday. They showed the game as releasing this week complete with final looking boxart. EA has actually pegged the game as a March release.
We'll keep you posted if we learn more.
