News: More monkey rolling fun from Sega.
Sega has announced the latest game in their Monkey Ball series, Super Monkey Ball Adventure. The monkey rolling will begin this Summer on the PS2, PSP and GameCube.
The game is being developed by Travellers Tales and adds a Story Mode to the proceedings for the first time. Aiai, Meemee, Gongon and Baby must use all of their Monkey Ball powers to reunite a Prince and a Princess who are being kept apart by feuding fathers. I hope it ends better than Romeo and Juliet.
"Super Monkey Ball Adventure takes the franchise in a new creative direction with a Story Mode and new monkey ball abilities" said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. "Now Monkey Ball fans can enjoy the mini games that made the franchise famous as well as adventure through a fresh new world that can only exist in the Monkey Ball universe."
Sega is also rolling out several new Monkey Ball abilities including "sticking to walls, hovering and the ability to become invisible." Six new party games and 50 new puzzles round out the newness in this latest installment. The PSP version will also have Wi-Fi multiplayer and a special trading card game.
We'll round up more Super Monkey Ball Adventure news soon.
